The Toast Warms the Heart

Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to let your lover know exactly how important she is to you. Heartfelt comments, tributes to your love together and to the coming years… this is the spirit of a romantic Valentine’s Day toast.

Be yourself, speak from your love. Tell how happy you’ve been since the two of you met. Share a great story about when you first knew she was the one for you. Declare your undying love for a lifetime and longer.

If you’re uncertain about what to say, you could draw from these:

Your words are my food, your breath
my wine. You are everything to me.
Sarah Bernhardt

Night and day you are the one, Only you
beneath the moon and under the sun
Cole Porter

A hundred hearts would be too few to
carry all my love for you.

If I could reach up and hold a star for
every time you’ve made me smile, the
entire evening sky would be in the
palm of my hand.
Anonymous

My heart to you is given:
Oh, do give yours to me;
We’ll lock them up together,
And throw away the key.
Frederick Saunders

The most beautiful view is the one I
share with you.

If you’re in a group, you need a slightly
different tone:

The only thing we never get enough
of is love; and the only thing we never
give enough of is love
Henry Miller

May your heart be warm and happy
Filled with love and laughter.
Every day in every way
Forever and ever after.
